Choose To Forgive

Wednesday March 4th, 2020

God made us as social beings. We cannot run this race of life alone. In Genesis 2:18 we read, And God said it is not good for man to be alone. We cannot get to where God wants us to be without each other.

Christianity is not an independent study- it is a group project. For some – they hate group projects. But this is the way God is building His Kingdom. We will never reach our goals or get to where God would have us get to alone! This was God’s design, life together.

Hebrews 10: 24 tells us not to give up meeting together. Come to church let us learn from each other and grow together. Being with each other isn’t always easy, it takes work. We must become vulnerable, we can be hurt, and it can be inconvenient. But it is important and imperative in order to achieve the best and the highest.

The problem is that most of our biggest hurts are from people. And many of us have built walls; when we are with people, we don’t let them in. But as much as it is God’s plan for us to be together, the enemy’s plan is to make us do life alone. He divides in order to conquer. He prowls like a lion to devour those who are isolated. But remember this, it is difficult for a lion to get any prey that sticks together in the group. Ultimately, being together is a choice. Find friends. Make Christian friends. Find friends that share similar interests. Go out together. Have fun together. Build each other up.

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend (Prov. 27:17). Let us do life together.
